We offer a full Professional House Clearance Service and can also collect consignments for auction.

Both auction collections and house clearance are charged at £60p.h. + VAT (long distance fuel charge may apply).

In the first instance we usually do a site visit to asses the job and decide on items going to auction. This advice is free and an estimate can also be provided. It is not possible to give a fixed quote as circumstances which affect the length of the job and the cost of disposal is impossible to calculate

The house clearance process can be varied with a specialist often going into a property to pick out items. Our dedicated team then goes in and is trained to pick out any items missed for which there is a market at our auction (it's not unusual to find a gold pocket watch in the bottom of a bag of sugar, or a box of jewellery long secreted under the stairs).

Saleable items are separated and the remainder is split between items donated to charity and items sent to EMS Environmental Waste Services at Crealy (if we are further afield different sites are used). With the ever increasing red tape regarding waste disposal charges are often changing. At present a luton van load can cost as much as £350+VAT, all soft furnishings and fabrics have to be separated and a single three piece suite costs over £100. There are also environmental surcharges for mattresses, TVs, fridges & freezers, food, paints and chemicals.

We have a Waste Carrier's Licence and £50,000 goods in transit cover.

Charitable donations _ where possible clothes are donated to local charity shops, modern quality household furniture and effects is also either given to charity or sold at third party auctions and the proceeds donated to charity. Recipient charities include Hospiscare, elf, disaster appeals and local youth clubs. Where necessary hospital equipment can also be returned

When the job is finished we do a vacuum of the property and sweep outbuildings. If a deep clean is required this can also be arranged (this would include wiping down walls, cleaning bathrooms and the kitchen).

If necessary garden clearance is also on offer (we sometimes come across properties where the garden has been neglected and overgrown _ in these instances we can clear the site so that the plot can be fully observed and so that it is ready for marketing).

Finally, before closing the door and handing the keys back we can also take pictures of the finished job and take meter readings.
