A Rare Mid 19th Century English Longbow by Buchanan of Piccadilly, laminated Spanish yew with green plush handle and tooled green leather bands, stamped BUCHANAN PICCADILLY 46, 188cm overall length.
PROVENANCE: Used at Avon Vale Archery Club c.1871(Avonwick, Devon) and quite possibly at Kingsbridge Road Hotel at Wrangaton prior to that. In 1880 The Champion Archer of England, Rev. C.J. Perry Keene (rector of Dean Prior) was elected a member. The following bows are all from the same source and have been in the family since new.
