Barraud & Lunds, 41 Cornhill, London, a Victorian regulator wall clock, the single fusee movement with 21cm silvered dial signed Barraud & Lunds 41 Cornhill, London, No 2257, AD 1875, with swept minute Arabic outer dial, with subsidiary hours dial and seconds dial, with mercurial pendulum, contained in an arched mahogany case, 47cm high.

More Information

Overall condition is only fair. The case is missing the top pierced and foliate cresting. Where this would have attached to the case have been filled in.
The cresting to the interior of the case has split in two places and been reglued. Which tends me to believe the case has been dropped at some point.
The seatboard I believe is a replacement or its certainly damaged as the front is missing its mahogany veneer. There is mercury at the bottom of the case which is due to the seal
between the glass jar and the brass base becoming unstable. The glass jar has no cracks and is sound. The dial is in good order. Both lock key and winding key are present. The lock sticks but does actually lock. There are three seat bolts securing the movement to the seatboard. The hanging bracket to the back of the case has been removed.
